• Distribute authorised chart data on a global scale in accordance with international requirements established by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO). It applies to both analogue and digital products and services
• Distribute authorised chart data in accordance with adopted standards through PRIMAR
• Further develop the integrated, network-based distribution service in PRIMAR to include analogue as well as digital official products and services
• Facilitate distribution of maritime geodata for non-navigational purposes, for example through Digital Norway
• Distribute maritime geodata to new users in new ways. Efficient distribution of geodata is a natural extension of data management as the strategic core. Geodata not in use is of little value. The intention is to make full use of the potential of maritime geodata.
